Hi there, I'm Jacob

I'm excited about using software to build products that make an impact. I like to challenge myself through competitions and working in fast-paced environments.

Currently, I'm working at krisenchat, a nonprofit organization offering free psychological counseling via chat to young people in crisis. As a Software Engineer (20 hours/week), I'm part of a cross-functional team responsible for the counseling platform.

Also, I'm pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science at HPI. In addition to my engineering abilities, I'm also focusing on learning about leadership and project management. Recently, I completed a 9-month Design Thinking project in collaboration with Germany's biggest car insurance provider HUK Coburg. We developed a prototype to leverage LLMs in customer service without sacrificing trust and connection.

From a technical perspective, I'm skilled in full-stack development, Deep Learning, and I'm comfortable with the subtleties of C++ and Golang.
